greeting, UK ultrarunners — i’m glad you happened across the announcement of the Run & Become event for “Born to Run”. I hope many of you can make it, and i’ll do my best to make it worth your while. i’ll be discussing some of the research i’ve done into the physiology and anthropology of human running and telling some tales of our adventures among the Tarahumara down in the Copper Canyons. if you come armed with ultrarunning trivia, you have a good chance of winning a free book — i’ll be giving some away as quiz prizes. Sandbaggers are also starting a new event in September 2009 named the Eagle Isle Ultra, held on the island of Mull on the West coast of Scotland. 120 km over 3 stages.
