Jo Kilkenny’s 24 Hour Treadmill Challenge

On the 26th of March 2011 Jo Kilkenny will be attempting to run for 24 hours non-stop on a treadmill as a fundraiser for the Yamaa Trust. The challenge will take place in Glasgow’s Pure Gym and will begin at noon on Saturday the 26th of March.

Jo is an ultra runner and competes at events all over the world. She is using the treadmill challenge as a training exercise for Enduroman’s Arch to Arc which she will be competing in later this year also to raise money also for the Yamaa Trust.

Arch to Arc will see her run 87 miles from London to Dover, swim the Channel and cycle 181 miles from Calais to Paris. Only 7 athletes in history have completed this challenge solo!

Jo has also signed up for a 24 hour swim at Guildford Lido April 30th 2011 and is also planning on running the Gobi Challenge which starts 24th July.
