Lakeland 100 & 50 mile 2009 Race Results

The Lakeland 100 & 50 mile races took place on the weekend of July 31st-August 2nd and is one of the most significant long distance trail races in the UK.
Over 270 runners signed up for both events and the weather over the last few weeks was true to form as it rained and made conditions difficult.

The circular route starting and ending in Coniston, encompasses the whole of the Lakeland fells, with over 6000m of ascent on public bridleways and footpaths. As well as hosting the 100 mile event there is also a 50 mile race starting at Dalemain Estate north of Pooley Bridge and also finishing in Coniston.
