Martin Ilott, a veterinary surgeon from Windsor, has embarked on a 3000 mile solo-run from Los Angeles to New York to raise money for Thames Hospicecare.  If successful, he believes he will be the first British runner to complete the run across America unaided.
Martin ’s log book says that he’s in Delta, Nevada after Day 19 of his trip from Huntington Beach, California to Central Park, New York and is not averse to running all-nighters. Tough cookie. I wish Martin well.

I am writing to you as it may interest you and/or your viewers/readers that a 100 mile race is being held on the 4:th of august in Sweden. Either it may just interest you out of curiosity or maybe someone even wants to run it. If you like you can post a link on your site or forward this to other interested runners.
Â
The race consist of one long (marked) loop and is a low key event but has already entrants from 5 different nations. It starts in southern Sweden and has a cut off time of 32 hours – one third of the race is run on the sand. There will be only three aid stations but many possibilities to fill up on water.
Â
The website is in English.
Â
Thankyou and kind regards
