One of the south’s most scenic trail ultras, traversing the serpentine spine of the South Downs.
Full Essex Way Ultra – 82 mi
Epping, England | July 4–5
A point-to-point route from Epping to Harwich, this long-format event covers historic byways and farmland.
Faccombe Backyard Ultra
Faccombe, England | July 4
A backyard ultra format—one 4.17-mile lap per hour until only one runner remains.
By Way of The Glen – 42/72/170 mi
Milngavie, Scotland | July 3–5
A challenging range of ultras traversing remote Scottish terrain, the West Highland Way and most of the Great Glen Way; low-key but deeply respected in the community.
Pen Llyn Ultra – Wales Ultra Trail 50 mi & 100 mi
Pwllheli, Wales | July 4–5
A scenic and tough race across the Llyn Peninsula, with coastal views and variable trail surfaces. And of course, The Huw Williams.
The Pigum – 30 mi
Abergavenny, Wales | July 5
A 30-mile mountain ultra around the Gateway to Wales, featuring rugged peaks and over 5,000?ft of ascent.
Hardwolds 40 – 47 mi
Beverley, England | July 5–6
A scenic point-to-point route across the Yorkshire Wolds, following chalk landscapes and ancient villages.
Beyond the Lune Skyline Ultra – 65 km
Kirkby Lonsdale, England | July 5
A 65 km loop with 2,000 m ascent, crossing seven summits and ending at The Royal Barn.
SilverBackTrails: Summits of The North York Moors Ultra – 115 mi
Goathland, England | July 5–6
A rugged 115-mile ultramarathon across the highest hills of the North York Moors, with ~14,000 ft of elevation.
ATW Odyssey 12-hour Run
St. Neots, England | July 5
A 12-hour timed trail loop challenge in Cambridgeshire, open to solo and team entries.
Tittesworth 50k Ultra – 49 km
Leek, England | July 6
A Staffordshire trail ultra with ~1,485 m of ascent, running across the Staffordshire peaks and the Roaches.
