There were 33 starters in Llanelli’s first ultramarathon, Born To Run – a 37 mile run along the Gower Peninsula along routes 4 and 47 of the National Cycle Network. The first man was Jason Dickman in 4:43:41 and first lady was Karen Galpin in 5:32:46.

The 2013 edition of the race has just been announced and the field limit has been raised to accommodate 100 runners and the distance extended to 40 miles.
