The Chester Ultra 2018 took place March 2nd starting at Waverton Village Hall, Waverton just outside of Chester. The course is a single loop that connects trails on the River Dee with the North Cheshire Way, the Sandstone Trail and includes Helsby Hill, Frodsham and Delamere Forest. Heavy rain preceeding the event meant wet and muddy conditions underfoot. The event is hosted by GB Ultras who have recently created the GB Ultras running club. 226 runners finished the event.
The race was won by Charlie Sharpe finishing in 7:12 and the womens race was won by Sally Ford in 8:06
