Britain’s Joasia Zakrzewski has set a new World Record winning the 12th Taipei 48 Hour with 411.458 km surpassing 2nd placed female Patrycja Bereznowska (POL), the former World record holder who was fourth overall with 373.138 km. Jo’s performance is also a new British overall 48 hour record and accompanies her British 24 hour record, 247.985 km set in the European Championships in Verona in 2022.
The race took place at Xin-shan park, Taipei and started on Friday 10th of February in very wet conditions which gradually improved as the race went on.

Canberra’s Allicia Heron set a new Australian Women’s 48 Hour record by almost 17km with 361.160, 5th place overall, and 3rd female. Xiao chun Huang (TPE) was 4th woman, 6th overall with 357.000.
Iulian Filipov (ROU) was the mens winner, second overall with 400.514 km and second was Fudali Bartosz (POL) with 397.619km. Third was Chih-Hao Tsai (TPE) with 348.493 km.
